Cioccolata Churros Cafe

Cioccolata Churros Cafe is the only food outlet I've tried in Bayleaf so far. Even though it is only a small spot in the hotel, I give it high points for its coziness. What to eat here? The Churros, moist and light on the inside with a crispy exterior.
Churros w/Coffee Caramel Dip Php 83
Grilled Cheese Php 105

Irish Cream Mocha Php 105
Having said so, I'd like to try their offerings like the grilled ensaymada, banana hazelnut croissant. Cioccolata still has room for improvement.

Experience the Difference at Oat Square

Oat Square oat drink contains all the goodness of rich oats. It is a nutritious drink with a refreshing taste from fresh fruits. Ms. Jam Liao, owner of Oat Square, tells us that these is their family business so expect to expand more branches in the future. "The Oat Square, CJ, Jam and Jaya Liao, three sisters who grew up eating oatmeal for breakfast – they actually see this is a delicious business opportunity. " (Source:

It's a tiny place so there's only enough room inside for customers to order. The friendly cashier told us about their best sellers and something about the Healthy Oats Pops (HOPS).

BDJ Fair 2012 Limitless held at the Mall Of Asia Music Hall

I wasn't able to attend last year so I promised that for this year, wherever it may be, I promise to attend. I went there with my sister. This year’s theme is Limitless! – and emphasized on each individual’s unlimited potential. We had a lot of fun going around the SM MOA Music Hall and getting freebies on each booth.

The first thing we did was to buy our 2013 BDJ Power Planner for a special price of Php 520.  I was more satisfied with Belle de Jour than the other planners, because aside from the fact that it is a custom-made planner for us, lady yuppies, it also has discount coupons from different brands you will all surely love. I also had their BDJ lifestyle card which gives you exclusive passes to their events and more discount in case you've used your coupon already. Fun, right?

BDJ Planner Printed Leatherette Cover
After that we headed to get our gift bags and BDJ Fair Partners. :)

We went from one booth to another and filled our bags with goodies.

Unfortunately we weren't able to avail of the free makeovers from Azta Urban Salon and Browhaus 'coz we arrived late but it's fine. We were supposed to try the Bauhaus Fortune Teller but the line was so long so we decided to just stop by at the talk "Life Lessons" by PJ  Lanot and Fitz Villafuerte and got some tips about self realization and why we need to start planning our future.

PJ LanotTV and Voice Actor; TV and Events Host; Restaurateur; and Trainer.

Some of the things that he reminded us:
  • People are so much better than what you think.
  • If you are through learning, then you are through.
  • There are more success and more aspirations to fulfill while we are living.
Fitz Villafuertegave us a talk on how to properly start our way to earning “limitless wealth”.You can see what he lectured to us here.
I super love BDJ!
See you on the next BDJ Fair. :)

Kao-Chi Restaurant 高記餐廳

Chinese food is hearty and satisfying. It also reminds me of my not-so-distant childhood. When I was a kid, I always associated Chinese food with a celebration because it was the food served at birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms and weddings that we attended. Now that I'm older, I don't have to wait for special occasions.

We had a couple of dishes on this particular date but I want to highlight the rare finds that I actually enjoyed:
Wuxi Spareribs
Xiao Long Bao
From the look alone and while doing this review, I am already craving to eat it again. That's how yummy it isI also like Xiao Long Bao or small basket dumpling, it's tender steamed pork dumpling with tasty soup that is wrapped delicately in soft wanton wrapper and served with ginger sauce.
Fried Xiao Long Bao
The next dish that impressed me was the cornflake encrusted mushrooms. The contrast between the crunchy Fried Xiao Long Bao and Steam Xiao Long Bao is great. It also has a superior and delicious flavor.
Abalone Chicken Soup
The soup tasted like usual Chinese noodle soup and at served at just the right temperature.

The interior motif at Kao-Chi Restaurant is to feel the ambiance of Binondo or China. Predictably, the interiors are red with gold and black accents. The space is modest, but the integration of various textures (velour seats, leather-lined Chinese screens), as well as the pop art paintings on the ceiling, gives it a luxe charm.

Dakasi now in TriNoma

When Dakasi came to TriNoma, I had to keep my eye on its opening. Since, it was my first time trying out something from Dakasi, I had to stare at their menu for quite a while. Good thing the staff were friendly and introduced me their bestsellers.

Mango Smoothie
Their mango smoothie is utterly delicious and a perfect refreshing drink for the hot summer weather.

Dakasi Bubble Milk Tea
One of its bestsellers, it is the closes to the authentic milk tea you can buy.
Taro Milk Tea Large
I like their Taro Milk Tea, it's not too sweet even if it's 100% sweetness.

It was such a great experience having milk tea at Dakasi. I haven't heard anything about the owner of Dakasi, but I definitely admire the person behind the graphic advertisement. The service is fast and they have wide array of choices, it was very relaxing with very accommodating staffs. I've still got a lot of flavors to try but more often than not I like their flavors.

Chicken Madness at Flaming Wings

I have been raving about this place for so long. I saw some reviews about this that Flaming Wings is the best place to eat Buffalo wings.

Buffalo Wings w/ Honey Mustard Dip
Chicken wings will always be one of my weaknesses when it comes to good foo, and Flaming Wings succeeds in serving me what I want. This place is a worthy chicken wings to check out.
Garlic Fries w/ Bleu Cheese Dip
The fries were the typical ones we get. It didn't capture the taste of bleu cheese but it was fine.

Wicked Oreos
The wicked oreos is really a good meal invention. It is perfect for dessert. For only 75 pesos, you can enjoy this delicious and outstanding specialty.

I'll definitely come back here at Flaming Wings. I am really satisfied.
